Today I am honored to be here for the inauguration of “Agra to Lucknow Access Controlled Expressway (Greenfield) Project”, a project which is being completed in record time of 23 months, and one of the top most priority project of Uttar Pradesh Government.
The best part of this project is that, this 302 K.M. long 6 lane access controlled expressway project passes through 10 districts of the state.. Now one can travel from Lucknow to Agra within 3 to 4 hours, which earlier used to take 6 to 7 hours. The expressway is designed for the average speed of 120 K.M. per hour.
One of the major achievement of this expressway is that, in case of emergency Air Force planes can be landed on this, as two air strips are also been constructed on this project. I am really glad to inform you that the successful testing of landing and takeoff of modernized Indian Air Force planes has been done on these air strips.
With the construction of this project it will be ease to travel from Western Uttar Pradesh and from center of state capital Lucknow, which will also result in the social and economic development in the districts, agriculture, commerce, tourism and industries will also get promoted around the state. Simultaneously, business of the cities like Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Auraiya, Kanpur Nagar and Lucknow will also enhance at certain levels. This Expressway will be proven as Industrial corridor for the Production units, developmental centers and agricultural production for the cities like Mainpuri and Etawah. Handloom industry, Food Processing units, cold storage, warehouses, market and milk based business of adjacent cities will also get promoted.
In the successful completion and construction of this project, Mr. Navneet Sehgal , Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Authority gave all his best efforts and made this successful achievement.
On this auspicious occasion of inauguration of project I would also like to thank all the employees, officers and workers of each department, who get involved in the successful completion of this project, within a record time of 23 months.
